Short Version

Bubble days [Your first 7 days under protection]

Build 3-5 Homes (if you plan to spend money have 5 houses in total one you unlock Water Keep and Night Shade Keep)

In the resource view. Do not build more than 1 of any Resource Building! Build 1 Farm

Your upkeeps goes up the more troops you have, if you run out of food your men will not die, you just won't be able to train any until you have food. When you start growing in power you will never be able to offset your upkeep with your food production. Hitting Anthro camps is the only way to get food

At the time of writing this guide up upkeep was -30,000,000

Build 1 Quarry

Build 1 Lumbermill

Build 1 Mine

Level research centre (so you can unlock more advanced research, see detailed version for more info)

Build 17 Garrisons. They are the most important building and you should focus on levelling them all to 19 as soon as possible. You will need to level one of your garrisons to lvl 12 by the 3rd day

Build Sentinel, lvl 18 (by the time bubble pops)

Steps 6-9 are the minimum steps required to unlock Units, you can build these in want ever preference you want, depending on the Army composition you are after,

See “How/Order to train” for more details

Build factory, lvl 8

Build Metalsmith, lvl 4 (this should be the last thing you will need to unlock Armoured transports)

Build rookery, lvl 2

Level your dragon keep (This should be the last thing you will need to unlock Swiftstrike dragons)

Do not build a theatre. You will be swimming in gold, it is a useless building

Optional: Build a storage vault, level as high as you need, will protect some your resources from being taken (you will not need this in a established Realm)

Fill the rest of your empty spots with garrisons, if you missed any or decided not to get the Storage Vault

Click on your wall, set your men to “evade”

The bubble pops. From here, you should have a limited understanding of the game, and should focus on leveling all your garrisons as your main priority to level 12 first and the all of them to lvl 19.

Then focus on unlocking battle dragons, then Giants and if you're spending money Fire mirrors.

Considerations:

In this guide I am focusing on having low total pop, not wasting any on resource buildings, and going for max garrisons, as they will yield you the biggest benefits over a longer period of time with the reduced training time for your troops.

Detailed Version

Build 3-5 homes, (if you plan to spend money you will need to have 5 houses total, you will build the extra houses on the new Dragon keeps, so only build 3 homes at the moment) This is the first thing you should do, as you will notice you have low population and as soon as you have a decent amount you should train some spies or cons. even if it is only 100, the key to this game is always have something training, never waste time with a empty training queue.

Although don’t make a big queues, over 2 days, at this time as you haven't built any garrisons.

Garrisons lower the time it takes to train units.

In the resource view,

Build 1 Farm, (do not build more than 1 Farm!)

Build 1 Quarry (do not build more than 1 Quarry!)

Build 1 Lumbermill (do not build more than 1 Lumbermill!)

Build 1 Mine (do not build more than 1 Mine!)

Don’t waste too much time levelling these at the moment as they are not a high priority. I know you will need to have resources earlier on; however it is an utter waste to build them. You should join an active alliance that will help their smaller members, so you have to ask, just write that you’re new and will need resources.

They should give you more than u can spend. Don’t worry you're doing them a favour as whilst you are in the bubble you can't be attacked it is a good way for your alliance to protect their resources.

Level research centre, and start researching!

The key to this is always being able to have research going. Which research should be done first depends on what you want your army is comprised of for which research you will train first.

If you don’t plan on unlocking Fangtooths or spending money to unlock Fire Mirrors you should research

Cairvoyance, is the most important as it allows you receive more detailed information when spying

Dragonary, until you can unlock Aerial Combat

Aerial Combat

Metallurgy, Alloys will be needed to upgraded to beable to unlock the higher research lvls of Metallurgy

Medicine, as dragons are speed units they have lower health than the Melee units, so Medicine is important in helping your dragons survivability

Rapid Deployment, Weapons Calibration and Levitation are all as important as each other

Dragon Lore, Woodcraft, Agriculture, Masonry, are the least important

This is the order you should research if you are Building your Army with BD, SSD, they tend to be the earliest unit you will have a full atk wave and so should aim to make them as strong as possible.

You will alter the order if you intend to unlock FT or FM and plan on making a Army comprised of them.

Build 17 Garrisons. They are the most important building and you should focus on levelling them all to 19 as soon as possible.

It is easier and more efficient to lvl all of your garrisons to lvl 12 first, then choose one garrison and upgrade it to lvl 19.

Lvl 19 garrisons also stop 30,000 food from being eaten so this means even with negative upkeep you will be able to have a small amount of food in reserve, for building or training troops. A Lvl 20 Garrisons stop 300k Food from being eaten.

This is the biggest and most consistent bottleneck in the game, not gathering resources or buildings (although early on buildings are the bane of everyone's existence)

Build Sentinel, lvl 18 (by the time bubble pops)

You will need to have this to see accurately how many men atk you, if you do not have this you are blind to what the enemy is atking you with and will not be able to defend yourself and is risky to get your alliance reinforce you.

Although you should not ever defend this early in the game, unless your killing a march of Armoured transports that the enemy didn’t protect with enough troops.

Resource can always be gathered and you shouldn’t be upset about losing a few million every now and then.

The next few points detail what you need to unlock certain types of troops, you can vary the order in which you build this buildings depending on the army composition you are after. (See “How/ Order to train” at this point.)

Build factory, lvl 8. You should unlock armoured transports [AT], never build any porters, they are a useless unit. ATs are a end game unit for raiding resources so you should unlock them as early as possible.

Build Metalsmith, lvl 4 (this should be the last thing you will need to unlock Armoured transports)

Build rookery, lvl 2. Aim to unlock your dragons. If you do not intend to spend money your Army will comprised of Battle Dragons [BD]. They are a excellent unit!

Level your dragon keep (This should be the last thing you will need to unlock Swiftstrike dragons) They are quick to train, and are what you use to raid inactive players’ city, conquer wilds and Anthro camps for resource.

Do not build a theatre. You will be swimming in gold, it is a useless building.

Optional: Build a storage vault, level as high as you need, will protect some your resources from being taken. You will get hit, if you have a Storage vault you can keep all your resources under a certain amount, at level 19 you will keep 950k of each resources, except gold.

It will make your life easier; however they are not needed if you have someone that can always give you resources, or if they can protect you well. If you decide not to build a Storage vault you will either build a garrison and a home.

Fill the rest of your empty spots with Garrisons

Click on your wall, set your men to “evade” There are two settings “defend” and “evade”. Defending will make your troops protect your resources, however if someone bigger than you atks, your men will fight to the death.

Evading means if someone atks you they won't have to fight your men and will take as many of your resources as their men can carry. Your troops are your most valuable things in this game. And while you are small you should always be on evade. You can always get more resources, however it will take a lot longer to train more men if you lose them.

The Bubble bursts.
